I bought a new 32 ins panasonic tv and I am looking at a dvd recorder to buy and have not got a glue. Can somebody help me please as I read you cannot watch one programme and record another one like with the VCR. Budget range nothing fancy. Thanks

If your TV has a built in Freeview Tuner I believe you can watch one channel using that and record another using the Freeview Tuner in DVD recorder.0

Don't buy a DVD recorder unless you want to archive programmes. Buy a PVR instead, I suggest the Humax PVR 9300T for Freeview, or the Humax Foxsat HDR if you are on Freesat. Good deals on both at Richer Sounds. No free lunch, and no free laptop

This web page allows you to compare the features of all the available PVRs side by side. You can also compare all the HD PVRs available.
