buying printer ink

Arrrggg... this is a minefield. I've spent an hour scouring the internet for ink. I've got a Canon MP620, which requires 5 separate cartridges.

Has anyone used INKredible? They seem so ridiculously cheap compared to everyone else. I know they are compatibles, and before I found this site I had decided only to use genuine Canon ink for quality and reliability, but the ink on INKredible is only a quarter of the price.

What is the ink like?
Do you recommend that i stick to genuine Canon ink, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions where to buy?

Many thanks folks,
T

I've never found the compatible cartridges any good, but if they're really that much cheaper they might be worth trying. I've used http://www.cartridgemonkey.com/ before and found their prices and service pretty good.

I've been using the chipped compatibles that 7dayshop.com sell for £2.99 each delivered - no problems so far and the print quality is good. The cartridges themselves are made by Inkrite.

Have you tried refilling your cartridges ?

I have a Canon Pixma. I buy a pair of Canon cartridges then refill them 3 or 4 times with Argos's cheap ink refill kits.
Had no problems. PC doesn't indicate ink level, but that doesn't matter as it always said the cartridge was empty when it wasn't ! When the print comes out a funny colour, I just refill them all.
Colours seem fine, I'm not doing studio type work - prints of grandson look absolutely great.

PS: buy some rubber gloves !

    Get yourself a CISS system

Can't post you a link because noobs aren't allowed to, but if you google "CISS for Canon MP620" you'll find it.

Hi,I tried INKcredible but most of the cartridges would not work whatever I tried. Since then I have used www.printerinks.com , they are about £4.90 per cartridge for your printer but you can get 17% cashback through Topcashback or 15% through Quidco. Not a massive saving but it's free delivery and I have never had any compatibility issues. If you are a heavy user they have some good buy 2 get 3rd free offers.

I am using recycled cartridges, rather than compatibles, from inkcycle at £3.28 each but I do run genuine cartridges through a couple of times for them to clear any 'gunge'.

Also try amazon! Various companies are on there and you can also read the reviews from others too!
