You DVD is not necessarily fake...
Does it have a hologram and a Malaysian govt stamp at the back?
If so, it is genuine. It is quite normal to find poor quality genuine DVDs in Malaysia. All legal DVDs from Malaysia must bear that stamp.
Also, if you have to buy from Asia, buy from CDWOW. They ship free from Asia and are always genuine and I doubt any genuine Asian sellers from Ebay can match their prices. Alternatively, use yesasia.com.0 -

That's a bit unfair. I sell my unwanted DVDs and I've never even seen a bootleg film in my life let alone tried to sell one.....

I buy plenty of DVDs on ebay, as long as theres a photo and good feedback. I have had 2 copies out of about 30-40 dvds though so its not exactly foolproof!0

Sorry have'nt been on in a couple of days.
I'll try and answer your questions;
Mike - I've bought dozens of dvds from Asia that are genuine copies.
Greytroot - I spent £22 in an effort to secure what I thought was a genuine copy.
Delorean - harsh. But I doubt if I will buy any more - that's twice now I've been stung.
Machofairy - Interesting post - The box does bear a hologram but I'm not sure about the stamp. For a bootleg it is a good quality one but it's not the quality of picture (or sound) that I expected. I've got a 52" telly so you can see the pixelation easily.
Oldsystem - me too. 100% feedback and photo + 'factory' sealed.0 -

Mine are all legit and originals. I take pride in being able to offer these at a good price undercutting most mainstream sources and still making a reasonable profit. I'm sure a lot of other ebay sellers try to do similar. We're not all villains!Just because you used to be you think everybody else is, don't you?0
