Dial a phone cashback by redemption - any good?
Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice.
Have spotted the below deal on dial a phone:
BlackBerry Curve smartphone 8520
Its £20 a month for 18 months with 12 months free via cashback
So works out at £6.67 per month.
Coupled with £35 quidco and £83 i can get from 02 for my existing phone, i make that this deal will only cost me £2 for 18 months.
I suspect i'll also have to pay for the Blackberry add on also - it's with o2 so any ideas how much this would be?
All this is subject to redeemeing the 12months free correctly.
Now i have never gone down the redemption route before and certainly wouldn't go near mobiles.co.uk from what i have read on the forum, but was just wondering if anyone had similar / different experiences with Dial a phone?
Thanks all

I have had no problems at all with cashback, sent claims off and received payments within about 3 weeks. Just received the last payment of my contract and have now taken another contract with them, went via Quidco for £35.
The phone I got was free and basically the contract is gonna end up costing me nothing by the time I get cashback, Quidco and sell the phone at the end

Dialaphone is now part of Phones4u; they are far better than Mobiles.co and all similar cpw companies nowadays. However, no-one should embark on any cashback deal unless they know in advance exactly how it works and take all the necessary precautions to ensure that should things go wrong they are in a position to enforce the payments.0

Golden rule, never take out a cashback deal unless your prepared to not receive some/all of the cashback stated due to the strict terms been broken.
So never take it out if you cant afford full price.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
I was with DAP for a few years and never had any issue with cashback or customer service.
In fact during 2003-5 they were pretty good sorting out any problems I had.
But if you want an unbranded + sim free phone it will be luck of the draw becasuse they source from both the Manufacturer and the Networks.0
