Leaving O2
My contract with O2 finishes at the end of the year and I will be looking to port out asap after the contract finishes.
When will O2 give me a PAC? I recall T-Mobile wouldn't release the PAC until the date of the 12 months anniversary. Orange gave me a PAC earlier than this but I had to pay the 12th month of the contract up front - if I remember correctly.
Do O2 charge the same way as Orange, i.e. do they charge for the 30 day PAC period regardless of when your number ports out, or do they only charge up until your number ports as do T-Mobile?

I got my PAC off O2 without difficulty with just over a month of my contract left to run. They didn't require payment of the twelfth bill upfront.0

my daughter phoned o2 to cancel and got free rental for 12 months. She had a deal for £14.99 a month which gave her so many free texts and free minutes so she still has those but no rental to pay.0

I had the same offer - O2 25 minutes and texts per month for a year free of charge. As I wanted to port my number I regretfully had to decline the offer.0

My contract isn't up until the end of the year but I need to be sure how O2 do things. I haven't been impressed with O2 from day one and will be glad to move away; at least it's a 100% cash back deal through Mobileshop so it won't have cost me anything.0
