Hi mk-donald, yes mate you are correct, very new to cash back sites and have never used them before. Unfortunately (rather silly now) I had signed up to O2 direct with no cash back because when I looked on them sites it said no voucher is available and I wrong assumed that I would need a code or something. But hey you live and learn. But by the sound of it I need to register with both Quidco and TopCashBack. Would people say these are the best two to use?

    Thank you for your help.

Then if not beyond the cut off date, cancel with O2 and re-sign up via your favoured cashback site.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Well they are two of the most popular cashbacks sites but others are available too.

NO POINT in signing to Quidco until such time as you NEED to use them as they start the 1st year ticking (to retain the first £5 from your annual £back) from your sign up.

TopCashBack is charge free so may as well get that set up, and tested your cookies, and (eg) worked out another browser that 100% clears cookies on shutdown (eg I use Firefox for £back, and IE the rest of the time) ready for some £back shopping.

MSE has a guide & £back comparison that I find rather inaccurate but should act as a prompt for you as to looking out for £back opportunities

    Just to clarify/develop macman's advice.

As you mean o2 and they have a 30-day MONEYBACK guarantee valid from activation.

IF you are already activated do NOT cancel with the aim of reapplying straight away via £back as once you have taken advantage of the 30-day bale out, o2 require you to wait 3 or 6 months to be able to join again! (As they have suffered a c£40 charge from BT to set you up and got nothing out of it!)

IF you have not YET been activated then SURE you could ask for your order to be cancelled (telling them whatever reason you like) and then reapply via a £back site and SHOULD get it - and if NOT then you are in the same position as now, just 1-2 weeks behind.

Not sure where you are with a MAC - ie are you already ADSL'd - and if you haven't yet given o2 your MAC then they CANT have booked the engineer so you can be sure to cancel OK - and you can still get your MAC to move to them once you have signed up via £back.

Thank you. Will get registered with TopCashBack over the weekend and try these sites out in future before I buy! Thanks for your help.
