Are there any cake recipes out there to help me use up the bananas, but don't need eggs? I have milk, flour (plain and SR), sugar, baking powder.
I also have 4 cherry yoghurts that are 3 days out of date, they haven't 'blown' but I think they need using up today.

Banoffee Pie? Won't use up your milk/flour/sugar/baking powder, but tastes delish! Not much good for the waistline though!!!"No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin0

How about Banana scones.. Normal scone recipe just squish in the bananas. Trust me, they're lovely.0

Just use a desert spoon of vinegar per egg. It's an acid and will react with the baking powder to make gas bubbles for the cake to rise.
Adapt any cheesecake recipe you like and use the the cherry yoghurt instead? Sorry, can't help with a banana recipe, but I had to laugh. I think you must live about 5 miles down the road from me (from your user name) and i came on here to find a recipe for a big pot of blueberrries and and too many eggs!!
Shall I pop round and see if can we find a recipe for banana blueberry cake??0 -
There's no such thing as "too many eggs"!

oh, my lord, the banoffee pie looks good.........haven't got the biscuits of condensed milk unfortunately (and as my waist line disappeared aged ago, a banoffee pie won't make it any worse - jut a bit lumpier!!)
I've only got balsamic vinegar squeaky???
Hi ali!! You must be somewhere like.....hhhmm....Bournemouth or Corfe Mullen? (depending on which direction!) we could both make cakes, and then add them together with a layer of jam and cream and create a new recipe!0 -
Hiya- yes I am in Corfe Mullen! I have just taken some blueberry muffins out of the oven, thanks to Elizas recipe from the index. The cake idea sounds great - especially the cream bit! Put the kettle on - we are off to Poole in a bit to see the street festival, we'll pop in on the way!
Would banana custard be on option or does it have to be a cake?0 -
Oo! Banana custard! Can you divert via Sunny Suffolk?Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Blimey, what a good guess that was!!!!!! :T
Street festival?? didn't know about that?!
Had my head stuck in AQA for far too many hours this week to know what on earth is going on!
thinking about it - it's in the Park? I think I saw a sign on the gates from my window at work yesterday when I was watching the red arrows.
Banana custard would be cool. I have a cheapy packet in the cupboard.
I might be experimental and try a banana cake recipe with balsamic vinegar . After all, it is used to dip strawberries in!0 -
Call in as you go by Oakdale!!! You'll find me by sniffing for banana cake!!0
