oh i did forget my biggest one at the moment  :mad: items coming back that havent been collected from delivery offices, and then people dont even respond to emails i send them saying i got their item back   had one returned item on my desk for a month now:mad:

    This happened to me yesterday.

Luckily, this buyer was co-operative, and explained he had been on holiday and will pay again for postage.

So, buyers are not all that bad :D

    1. Not paying within 7 days.
    2. Not responding when asked if they are sending payment.
    3. Waiting for payment NOT to arrive and then having to relist.
    4. Being asked to measure a childs pair of Jeans - width of legs from top to bottom - waist and inside leg was given in listing - They were only 99p!!!
    5. Receiving a return covered in dog hairs - brand new item.
    6. Opening post and finding a postal order with no clue as to who its from when you've sold several same priced item.
    7. Complaining about postage after winning the auction.
    8. Offering to pay several weeks later, after winning the auction.
    9. Getting stupid offers to buy before auction finishes, even though auction doesn't have will accept offers.
    10. Being asked to wear underwear that I am selling before sending it - cheapskate wanted to bid on a NEW thong I was selling for at a 99p start and wanted me to wear it and send it unlaundered. Needless to say no reply sent and on blocked bidder list -now if he had offered ........... only joking.

I live in Wales (but am English) and find that difficult customers come from all over, best to deal are the Czechs, pay instantly, leave feedback and are very pleasant.
  • People who email you the day after paying to ask where there item is, I'm not superwoman and I can't always get to the PO right away when you pay!

I've done this once but totally by mistake, I was new to ebay (thats my excuse) and send the payment not thinking that this poor guy had more than one auction, luckily I emailed him a few days later asking if he had recieved it and he replied 'oh thats who it's from, I'll dispatch it to you now' I felt like such a fool I can tell you.

I didn't reliese how much trouble us buyer's are mind I'm tempted to start a sellers complain thread as I've had just as much trouble with them hehehe.
    Nice to save.

    Here is a good one:-

Buyer buys item and as usual fails to read listing.

Wants to know where case is..told it's not included.

Claims that advertising is false and "wants" a replacement....I send a copy of listing to clarify issue.

24 hours later...there is a fault with the item and "really wants" a replacement...they claim to have spoken to the manufacturers hepline that told them to get a replacement.........arghhhh

Detailed instructions sent. I am now awaiting the "I really really want a replacement" e-mail.

How will I deal with this...certainly no replacement (done that before ended up having two returned before I refunded) but I will offer a full refund and I will receive back a now secondhand item that will now lose me money. I will suggest to the buyer politely to buy from a large retail chain.

These buyers are the worst, the problems are just escalated in each succeeding e-mail.
  • People who buy something for 99p and then expect all kinds of special "customer service" or generally just make a lot of fuss by asking questions etc after the auction is finished, to the point where you wish you'd never listed the blasted thing in the first place!
  • Ooh, and another one: the guy who bought something for 99p, then wanted me to give him step-by-step instructions on how to set up his Paypal account. Is it really that difficult?!!

    1) People who win something Friday evening and send a paypal payment Wednesday mid morning telling me to make sure item posted that day as item is required urgently for Friday at the latest! (happened to me today)

    2) Buying a beannie from a smoke free home and having to wash it (and basically ruin it) as it arrived stinking of cigarettes. Then when I complain being told it is a smoke free home and they only smoke in the garden and it must have aquired the smell at the sorting office. Please please smokers take note...we non smokers can smell the stench a mile off, just because you can't smell it doesn't mean it isn't there, you are immune.

    3) Stupid buyers who ask 'what material is your 100% cotton T shirt made of?' or 'will that top fit me as I've been to weightwatchers and lost 3 stone in 2 months (um, depends if you are now the same size as the advertised garment).

    4) Selling a book for 99p and then getting an email to say that they don't want to pay the £1.50 for post and packing as they can get the same book from their local library. (why buy my copy then?)

    5) American buyers complaining that they shouldn't have to pay overseas postage, as they are not overseas...they are American.

Oh, I could go on and on..
