  • uuuummmm bit reluctant to get into the storyline in case I give something away but to describe it as not being original or inventive (ingenious) is just wrong (imho) - far fetched, of course, but the way that so many different strands are bought together so that they all tie in (eventually) with the wizard of oz is brilliantly done (with more than a sprinkling of political comment thrown in as well). Of course nothing is truly original nowadays - its all been done before in some form or other but this was a pretty good attempt - watching the wizard of oz wil never be the same again and who would have thought that was possible?!

I must say I loved the story line. I thought it was really clever and totally changed my view of the Wizard of Oz and it was good the way it all came together at the end. I have ordered the book now so I can read the story.

Was at victoria lastnight and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Paid £6 includes postage for the ticket and was well worth it, I was in a central seat, 3 rows from the back dress circle - far away but had a good clear view.

The lead role played by Idina Menzel was excellent, she had finished the lead role in the US but was asked back for London. This is the third time that I have been to a theatre in 20 years and would recommend others to see this.

Only negative is (nothing to do with the show itself) refreshments are a rip off, £1.70 for a bottle of water!
  • I was watching it on Monday as well! Me and my bf enjoyed it very much, a very good musical. amazing music and good story! I am thinking to get the CD and the book now!

BTw don't buy the book just because you liked the show. I did that and the book is nothing like the show. The story is different and it goes on quite a lot about politics and religion in OZ, the ending is completely different. It wasn't a terrible read, but I much preferred the show!
