hi could somebody help me plz,,15years ago we erected a fence and put our horse to graze on former sewerage land previously owned by the water board, about 6yrs later they asked us to leave or pay a seriously high rental for the field, we refused and nobody bothered us again,,about 4 yrs ago we found out via the land registry that in 2001 the land had been sold to a firm in bristol,we never had any contact with this firm. this week we had a letter off a power company who claim to now own the land but say the land has until recently been licensed to someone else,this is untrue,they are asking us to meet to discuss a license, would this negate any claim for adverse possession we may have, what should we do next please,,thanks xx
