Ive done a search but cant find anything. Does anyone know of any companies where you can send them working mobile phones but you dont have to put in all the makes and model details etc. I have 2 phones that I just want shot of but would rather just send them to a charity. The only places I can find need this info as they expect you to want money for them. Thanks.

You should be able to just drop them into a charity shop. I know of a local hospice shop that had someone come in and ask if they took them and they said yes. The customer went out to their car and brought in a sack full, their company had just upgraded all the phones so the charity got a couple of hundred!

Charities will be hit and miss as they can't sell electronic goods without them been safety checked so most just refuse them.
I really would just use the mobile value tool and fire it off to one of them with positive feedback, and drop off the cash in person.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Charities don't take them for resale, they pass them on for recycling and get paid for them that way. Its in indirect way of donating to the charity.

Tesco give you the offer of donating to charity, just pop into a store and grab an envelope and send them off.

However if they are worth something, better to sell and donate the cash.
