talk talk beware

Talk Talk are currently offering a package with free connections, free first 3 months but when you phone them they try to charge for both of these saying the package has run out now. Only when I suggested this was against the law to advertise something which no longer existed did they relent and offer what was advertised....so worth pushing back. Having now seen some better packages on here, I'll probably back out anyway.

The free connection and 3 months free requires you to sign up online-you won't get it signing up by phone. Nor will you get any cashback.
Not that I would recommend signing up with TT by any method...
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I'm hoping that their bundle prices will be a good bargaining tool when my VM cable contract comes up for renewal though... :)

A year or so back I'd have said it was abysmal but I have seen increasing numbers of people apparently happy. How happy possibly depends on whether or not they actually provide the products as the most common gripe seems to be waiting weeks or even months after the phone is installed before getting ADSL and lots seem to say that the new line offer simply doesn't seem to happen at all for a very long time.

I guess you have to weigh the prices (which look good) against the odds of losing phone and or adsl for a while (which also seems to be a distinct possibility)

Only reason for going with TT is price, i.e. if it is the only LLU option on your exchange (which sadly is all too often the case). But if you have other LLU choices then explore them first.
