What about http://www.cashbackgiftcards.co.uk/ .... that pig looks familiar. £1 per month...same cost as UW card...No requirement to take ANY UW services.
Big difference between a cashback card that covers a large number of suppliers, and a collection of different gift cards .;)
and not just £1 a month
Post and Packing. To cover the cost of post and packing when you order Gift Cards we will deduct £1.50 from your cashback account for each package of gift cards. A package can contain up to 5 gift cards.
Fees to load cards.
Debit Card - 50p
Credit Card - 1.5% of the value of the transaction plus 20p
( But you can load more then one gift card for load fee).
I believe you can use your UW cashback card to purchase gift cards in Sainsbury. Which means you benefit from 3% cashback on a bigger range of retailers some of which are not included in UW main cashback scheme.0 -

your "cashback" isn't cash back at all, but given as a credit against their bill!
But dont they put the difference in your bank if it exceeds your monthly bill.
Talking to our handyman the other day one of the local B&Q best customers,Mrs shops at Sainsbury he buys petrol there. Pays it all on his UW card. Swears by it,says he always has a nice credit.0 -

O2 is unlimited. You can configure the phone to not exceed 1GB of data. Premium rate calls can be blocked and international calling can be blocked.oldharryrocks wrote: »Big difference between a cashback card that covers a large number of suppliers, and a collection of different gift cards .;)

The 3% saving does not apply to the following products: any tobacco products; postage stamps; infant formula/food/milk; gift vouchers/cards; mobile phone top up vouchers/cards:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

If discounts are the main criteria when selecting energy/telephonic services;), why not consider a Santander 123 current account and 123 credit card?
Both cost £24pa, although the credit card fee is waived first year.
No need to buy any of UW's expensive services and you get:
Current account
1% rebate(cash back) off Council Tax
1% rebate off Water charges
2% rebate off Gas and electricity
3% rebate off Comms BT, Sky, Virgin etc - even UW:D
Credit Card
1% rebate from any major supermarket
2% " " Department Store
3% " " Petrol
3% " " Train tickets
In addition you get 3% interest on the whole current account balance from £3,000? up to £20,000 - a better rate than anything I have seen lately for any form of instant access.
The important point is that you don't have to buy UW's expensive products to get some good discounts.0 -

To paraphrase Brian Conley
IT'S A CREDIT CARD!
Yet more hilarious comparing of 'like with unlike' going on in this thread. Does it really mean that much to you that you will post such sillyness? Totally embarrassing.0 -

Please, HappyMJ, give it up mate. Or do your research before posting.0 -
They have UK call centre's but unlike UW they are open 24 hours 7 days a week and it's free to call where UW charge an extra £1 per month. They do allow capping. The £1.50 fee has to added somewhere and as gas/electric pricing isn't very competitive and the home phone/broadband product is even less competitive @ £24.74 a month (Tesco is £20.25 a month) then adding it here is the most likely place to add it.
More spin. What about the other mobile companies you mentioned in your original comparison post? Shakes head...0 -

I'm happy with my home phone/internet tariff.
I'm happy with my gas/electric tariff.
I don't spend enough to justify a cash back card.
I don't need free calls to landlines as I just use the O2 mobile whenever I need to. I've never called customer services. I always email and I've got a response back within a day.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
