We've had this several times with our cats. We just get a piece of tissue and gently pull it out. 5 secs and it's done. They usually don't even notice.

It is nothing as others have said cats eat grass to induce vomiting to remove hairballs, sometimes they don't vomit and it passes through, just get a piece of toilet paper and pull it out. Yes we too have had this with our cats.

My dog has had this happen to her over the past week because she has started eating grass! she starts walking round with tail between leg when its hanging out like she is scared! i just pull it out! it makes her jump round as if to say 'whos messing with my bum!' but she is fine after!
Im pretty sure it wont be attached to anything

I remember one of ours running round with a red ribbon hanging from his bum - pmsl - he had chewed it off one of his soft toys. I always take bits like that off toys now.

Thank you all for your replys, some of which were very funny! Did have the same thing with my dog before and always gently pulled it out, but with the cat this just wouldnt work and it felt a bit urmm (trying to think of nice way to put it!) stuck in something!

But she went to the loo that night and grass came out to, so am very relieved.
