So you don't know if it works then. We all have a missfuelling prevention device as said before, ie, brain, but all devices can fail.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

i did exactly this, and filled up with diesel and it was fine, but i realised at the station and filled up before i started it. my car did feel like it had lost a bit of power, but i just kept topping up and it was fine0

I think its only a problem with larger quantities as its got a much higher octane than diesel
to be fair.if you only drive one car then its not really an excuse
but if you drive a variety of cars or occasionally swap into another then i can see it happening
ive not misfueled,but i have forgotten the fillers on the wrong side,needs/doesnt need 'popped' etc0 -

And it's really annoying as it prevents you from filling up from a plastic can.
Yes I know about the adaptor thing, mine is missing so I just wrap the can nozzle in gaffer tape and fill up before the diesel dissolves the glue.0 -
