Do you have a slow cooker? There are loads of things you could do in there...
Its supposed to be nice weather this weekend, so you could always bbq :j
Or you could do a big pot of chilli, with rice, or wraps and salad/cheese etc. No oven required
TC - No, I dont have room for everyone - only one spare room. My sister wont stay permanently, she will sort herself out with a place when she gets here.
My mum would have stayed with me for a few months (at least 6 I would imagine) until she found a job, a place of her own etc. But if my gran comes....I dont know. Thats what they are looking into.
Anyway - I have finished decluttering tonights mess in the kitchen, thrown out a carrier bag of tat and papers from the dining room, filled a bin bag from upstairs and am about to fill the washing machine and go to bed.

He’s still out there, maybe tomorrow night before there is a bed for him on the plane, there must be some very poorly boys and girls needing his place more than him, I’m grateful he doesn’t and upset that the others do – not good for them or their loved ones, also feel really selfish and horrid that I feel relieved Danny isn’t one of them that needs a bed on the plane sooner.
Mega busy at work – which I could do without as my head is a shed full of carp. Mum and dad came home from their hols today so had to go round and tell them, I thought mum was going to collapse poor lovely.
Sorry I’m just posting and running as usual, so mega hugs and love all round to you amazing people. Did see though briefly that Triker and her DD need loads of hugs and kisses – get the barstewards done is my opinion, absolutely disgraceful behaviour by them and the school! And also hollyh’s DSD (sorry if I got the step bit wrong) needs healing vibes. Ouch, can remember when DD1 stood on hers and the mess it made of her.
Much love to the lovely, amazing toots, jinks, LL and hope diva is ok, haven't seen any purple
I wouldn't worry that you feel this way, it is only human for you to feel relieved that your own are ok. Although it is annoying having to wait for a space for Danny at least that should tell you that he isn't so bad, hopefully those other people's families will see them soon. One of my friends was injured last year when a rocket skimmed him, if he had been further over he would not be here to tell the tale, luckily he only needs a skin graft! I have friends going back next year and my cousin flits in and out. Every time I hear that someone is seriously injured or worse I breathe a sigh of relief when I hear it isn't my cousin.
I do hope you get Danny home soon and thanks for your PM. Knowing the other guy is ok should mean that mentally things won't be so bad for Danny (hopefully). I wish you the best reunion in the world when you see him xxMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Thanks for the ant tips! I haven't located a nest (at work) but I did spot a 'run' IYSWIM so I left a glace cherry there for them for over the weekend; I will pop one in a jar first thing Monday morning then trap a few...
