    Still decluttering coursework.

    And a driving lesson.

Occasionally I make DD some food.

    and drink lots of coffee.

Well I thought today was a productive day....however it's turned very sour.:(

Flying wise, washing done, hung out and dried,
    bin emptied,
    food waste bin disinfected,
old veg roasted for a sauce,
FOUND old, mouldy, rotting chicken in the oven....it hasn't worked for weeks so you can imagine the smell....

Then DD2 came home to tell me that she's been hit with a baseball bat and slapped in the face by school bullies and school had told her not to contact me.......I am beyond livid and posted a thread for advice as I can't think properly I am that mad  and upset on her behalf.

Photos are taken and we're contacting the police and OH and I will be going into school AGAIN tomorrow to get some answers....my DD2 is NOT going to school, we may have to move her...she's had 100% attendance too.

Thanks again for all your good wishes. Polly - he got shot in the lower leg yesterday, has had one operation and is waiting for a flight to come home to have another operation at the military hospital in Birmingham. I've just been told there isn't a flight tonight, so I'm gutted. Maybe one tomorrow or if not it will be thursday x

Have sent you a pm x

  • I sometimes hear the military flights going overhead on their way over from Europe - most often at night, but occasionally during the day. The sound is quite distinctive. There haven't been so many in the last few weeks. I'm hoping this is a good sign, especially as DD1's mate is 18 in September and is bouncing off the walls waiting for his first deployment.

Triker sending you and your DD and DH strength and love. Your DD has and is being let down very badly by the school, did it happen on school premises. I hope the police are more proactive.

Bed made with fresh linen. DS3 in bed, just having 10 minutes on here before doing the ironing.

AnW'sMUm hope the throat eases soon - *no tonsilitis germs wanted * vibes being sent - must be a bit quieter then in your house at the mo (runs and watches from a safe distance!!)

:rotfl:Well I was at a tag rugby tournament this afternoon in which Miss A was participating and of course I had to encourage her and the rest of the team ;):p Now dosed up again! They did really well but alas did not win, some of the teams were a year older and had obviously been playing for a lot longer. Our team are new to the sport but are already aiming for the October tournament.

Gran glad to hear that Danny is in safe hands and will be home soon, massive hugs to you all and I hope he recover quickly.

Feeling a bit down as have just read about a young girl who died trying to save her dog in W Yorks, bit close to home especially now as it's getting to 'that' time of year for us and is also our wedding anniversary this weekend :(

Unless it is not a compulsory/option subject in which case it is only half a GCSE and the other half is made up with the PSHE half-GCSE
Depends entirely on school and exam board - ours do half in Yr10 christian/muslim (2 shorter papers) and then another half in Yr11 Phil and ethics (1 long paper). They are stand alone and one can be done without the other so you can end up with half or end up with 2 halves but that does not make a whole in the true sense.

I wish I'd never mentioned this :rotfl: All I can say is that at our school. DD did 2 RE exams in Y10. She then got 1 whole GCSE (not 2 halves). In Y11 she did Citizenship (a half GCSE), and a Certificate in Skills for Working Life :D
Many thanks to all who have posted on here and FB regarding Danny. I have been very moved by all your love and best wishes. I knew something was going to happen when I went to the post office yesterday morning and I couldn’t send my parcel to him because it was too heavy, my sister also couldn’t send hers in time (she left it at the post office) as the man behind the counter had 10 other parcels to register and was nearly ready for closing) how spooky is that?

Anyway he is supposed to be flying home tonight and going straight to the military hospital in Birmingham for another operation. The flight will take15 hours as they go via Cyprus for some reason. He is made up as he gets a bed on the plane and he says if they pump enough morphine in him he’ll sleep all the way! He sounded cheery this morning when he rang at just before 7 am - he knows I don't sleep in, spoke to him for half an hour. The army have been brilliant, his sergeant major phoned me from campBastion last night to keep me updated and today the troop commander himself has rung me. We will be assigned an escorting office who will keep us up to date on any changes and will arrange for us to see him in the military hospital. They think he will be out of action for about 3 months and then will presumably go back to Munchengladbach to get fit again and then who knows – hopefully not back to that place for a while. As you can imagine it’s been tough for us as a family as we want him home, he will always be my baby just as I am still my mum’s baby at the grand old age of 45!

I'm not sure what's happened to you, but aasume Danny is your son. I'm sure you'll all be so relieved to have him back. Will you be able to see much of him when he's in Selly Oak?
