2010 didn't seem to offer much more than 2007 when I tried it so you're probably better off sticking with 2007.0

I dont understand why so many people feel the need to use BETA software
Why not let others be the test subjects and install it when its fully working?:idea:0 -
>install it when its fully working?
When will that happen then, no software is!
Beta is for those who wish to be involved and will have some product knowledge before the RTM date. Product designers / developer's / trainers and writers need the skills honed up. We also answer questions here too, believe it or not.
Anyway Word is a mature product and what can go wrong.0 -
I installed the beta because I was becoming frustrated with Office Ultimate disaster's effect on my laptop; Outlook 2007's i.e. blurry fonts, bad graphics; even the Packard Bell logo on startup was blurry.
Now I have done a bit of work and run the beta, eveything is much better and I'm really happy; just need to find a neat way of importing my 2007 emails and sub-folders into 2010.
Don't like thos horrible Segoe fonts, have replaced them all!!0 -

You know what I mean
BETA products by their very nature are far more likely to cause problems
I fully understand why 'some' people would use them. But others install BETA just to have the 'latest kit' when they really dont know why its in BETA in the 1st place:idea:0 -

BETA's are just that, software to play with.
Never a good idea to use it for working with.0 -

I've been using Office 2010 for months as my primary office s/w with no ill effects. Remember that (in the same way as the Win 7 beta) much of the software code is well established, and that microsoft released a nearly finished version for users to try. They wouldn't have released something too buggy even as Beta - too much bad PR.
If you know what you are doing and are happy to experience the odd problem (not that I ever have) give Office 2010 a go.0
