Since the "team" have been introducing us the users of this site, to it's new improved version, no doubt they have had teething troubles. Clearly one of them being the width of the posts, which as far as I can determine affect every thread. It may well be that there are many other problems that I don't realise, so correcting the width is low on the list of priorities.

I'm surprised we haven't been asked to give the site a rest whilst they correct anything that isn't as they would wish. I know for a fact from PM's and emails I've received that others have the inconvenience of scrolling back and forth. I for one welcome the improvements, I for one spend many happy hours learning and subsequently saving and,am not too troubled by this wide screen, but I do wonder how many people will give up. Lets hope not too many. islandman

The problem lies in that the canvas size exceeds the recommended 758 pixels across for optimal viewing at 800x600 screen resolution. Using a higher resolution (1024x768 and over) will solve the problem at your end but it is good practice to make sure no scrolling occurs at 800x600, so I too hope they can fix it when they have some time.

Not wishing to stir up a hornets nest here, but we are all have free will. If the scrolling back and forth annoys them, then a friendly email to the webmaster would be in order, and maybe they ought to give the site a wide birth until its fixed.

Yes i agree, it maybe an annoyance, but Rome wasnt built in a day, and if it was, just imagine the mistakes it would have made on the way.

There is a big green section at the top of the page asking for our patience till they have sorted things out.

I e-mailed Webmaster today at 10.45 about the Silver Surfers displaying only two threads. At 17.03 I got a message back saying it was fixed, and it was!
I think that was quick enough. I do not like having to keep scrolling, but I will put up with it while they are sorting out the more urgent problems, eg the one which I have just mentioned!

I think the MSEers are a pretty understanding lot and will like yourself understand there will be some teething problems and will stick around as we do:)

Hi, I'm back again, to see if anything has been done and half afraid there might be abuse and my honest concern. First of all, I have to admit that I am NOT computer literate and live in dread that I do something wrong, also I hate doing anything I am unfamiliar with, just in case. When first this happened, I looked all over the place to see if anyone else had bright this subject up. I also PM'd 2/3 people, (moderators) to gain avice, one of whom completely ignored my message.
