Employer wont pay for my training

  • Unfortunately, I think this OP is just not enthusiastic enough about her job to warrant money being spent on her extra training. She has already said that she only stays there because she is friends with her colleagues. Stuff like this shows to employers and I imagine her lack of enthusiasm has been noted on appraisals. NVQ4 is equivalent to higher education so would be a big committment for both employee and employer.

OP wants us to say how bad her employer is for giving training to the other person and not her, but we actually have no real info at all. We don't know what she does or what her performance is like at work.

The impression I get (as I said before) is that she wants something but does not want to put in the effort. I would bet money that, if her employers paid for her NVQ4, she would be resigning as soon as it was complete, with no loyalty to that employer. That is if she even bothered to finish the course.

Sorry OP but you come across as rather lazy.

With my employer, you sign a agreement that after training you stay for 2 years otherwise you have to pay the money back. If i wanted to i could have left 6 -7 years ago when i finished my nvq 2 & 3, i merely just want to carry on with my training. Other people in the organisation have done their nvq 4 even without bein in a supervisory/management position. I think it just depends on what ur manager is like.
I stayed on coz i enjoyed working there and i wasnt gonna let bad experiences get to me.
And if i did start the course, obv i would finish it, thats just mean what u wrote when u know nothin bout me or my situation.
