Why do you want to spend hundreds of pounds to make sure your boiler doesn't go wrong in the future if you are moving house soon?0

We've been quoted £330.00 and was wondering if this is about the price we should be expecting to pay or are we being ripped off.
Any ideas/comments please?
Many thanks.
hi im a gas engineer. fitting a magnaclean wont cure the noise from your boiler if its down to scale. if your heat exchanger is kettling then you will need a powerflush & you may require a new heat exchanger as the flush may not remove all scale. the benifit of getting a powerflush from BG is you get a lifetime guarantee & the heat exchanger will be replaced free of charge if required. the combined price of a powerflush with magnabooster is £695.0 -

no it would not invalidate your homecare agreement, but you need to be aware that BG wont gaurantee a contractors work nor would you expect a contractor to guarantee any work carried out by BG, so if you do get a local plumber to do the work, make sure he is well recommended & check if he will clean the filter once every year free of charge as BG wont if its not installed by BG.0 -

Cost will vary according to your location in the UK.

BG have recently replaced the magnaclean with the spirotech magnabooster, £256 for a sealed system & £330 for an open system, 28mm & 22mm are same price.0 -
and noone has yet suggested a sonic clean for the kettling problem. Amazing!
