e2save - avoid like the plague
I just thought I'd share with you my experience to date of e2save as they were recommended on this site (note - I havent even got as far as trying to claim my cashback which it appears is most people's problems with them).
In mid July I ordered a Motorola SLVR Red phone + car charger on Vodafone through them and everything went nice and smoothly at first (or so I thought), except they sent the wrong car charger.
I phoned their customer services and after 45 mins got through and they agreed to send the right one through and I should return the incorrect one at my own cost but in exchange they would waive the £7 price difference between what I'd been charged and what they should have charged.
About a week later I noticed I couldnt use WAP or picture messaging so got onto vodafone as I know they can SMS you the configuration. They sent that through but still no joy so I called vodafone back. On examination of the phone Vodafone explained that I'd been sent an 02 handset instead of a vodafone one and told to send it back. Apparently the operating system is different on 02 SLVRs so even with the correct settings the WAP will never work.
I'm now awaiting my 4th handset (all three so far have been incorrect 02 handsets), I've not had the correct charger through, I've spent well over 3 hours on their support line. Last week they were due to send a handset to me on Tues but they tried to deliver on Monday instead when I was out. After speaking to a team leader at their customer services I was due to receive a new handset yesterday or today and it hasnt turned up. 30 mins on the phone and it turns out for some reason the courier sent the handset back to the e2save depot instead of to me so thats 2 days sat in waiting with no joy.
Their customer service line never takes less than 15 minutes - usually closer to 40 mins to get through and it is their policy not to transfer callers through to supervisors but to request a callback within 48 hours.
I can only imagine what fun people have had with the vouchers - I'm absolutely fuming that they cant even send out the correct phone to the correct address in over a month's worth of trying.
I really don't think that this site should be recommending e2save given the number of problems people have had with them. I certainly will be warning off anyone I know thinking of using them.
