It is a document published by UK Government to discuss and clarify what a Package Holiday is, following various legal cases which ABTA brought against the Package Holiday Regulations (and lost in every case!).

BERR is/was a Government department - it still exists, but the old Labour government did like changing the names of things regularly. Probably so the Devil Incarnate (aka Peter Mandleson) could have a job.

BERR was the Department for Business and Regulatory Reform.

It is now called the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.

Im thinking the same - planning a short break to Rome and Expedia have the deal Im after hotel and flights package but flights with BA! Need to find decent insurance too before I book when friend comes round Fri as want her to see the deal before I book. Just have to hope there is not a BA strike and any ash about! Im also looking to book a new hotel that does not open until next week!

Btw BA fly from Gatwick to Rome and Gatwick staff aren't striking.

Please dont book with Airborn and its one man band Adam Lewis.
Nothing but a farce!!! the company is willing to take your money but not answer your queries either via email or telephone as its customer service line is none existent. They pushed me from pillar to post for a month ignoring emails and telephone calls only to just TAKE the money from the bank account details i had provided to pay the deposit(my mother in laws bank account and her income support) when i refused to pay anymore money on a holiday which had changed in price unexplained and had incorrect details on the confirmation receipt.
Please guys use another provider where you can read the terms and conditions before you book.
Funny thing is that the only short 5 star review i can find online is by a person called "LEWY"
I wonder if thats you Mr Adam Lewis???
