I going to be moving house very soon and want to know how much roughly sky charge to move the system to a new address or is it worth it for me to just cancel and resubscribe at my new address?
My contract is over with them now:j

House moves is currently £60 or thereabouts,it was £40 when I worked for Sky.
As you're out of contract, sign up as a new customer & get the HD box.If the's a dish on the house already, just before the installer calls out, give it a whack with a shovel, then the installer has no option but to replace the dish instead of re-using it.
Or you could connect the existing equipment up yourself, let Sky know & save the £60!0 -
Thanks, It's gonna be a HD box for me! Maybe even quidco too!0

Thats funny, never thought of that. This is assuming the dish is damaged, if not they may just reposition it. I would just do it the polite way and ask them to replace the dish as this is what you paid the installation for..i.e "new set up".
When I moved house, I was not prepared to pay any new installation fee if they wanted to keep my custom. As Spike says why pay to move your existing equipment when you can sign up again as a new customer and get free installation and an updated HD box. Plus installation of your old box in a second room to use as freeview or multi-room.0 -

Thats what i've done, Cancelled my Sky at my current address i've got to pay this month but i knew that anyway and straight away i ordered my new HD box i only had to pay a tenner upfront for the HD channels free delivery and box.
I went through quidco too and have received my tracker email with a potential cashback of £160!!:j:j0 -
Quidco £160? Its showing up as £100, but even that is still good. I remembered when there was a thread about the old Sky+ boxes being replaced with older Sky+HD and cashback then was pretty good. I was tempted when my multi-room box failed at the end of Feb, but decided it wasn't worth the extra £10 a month for the HD pack only to watch channels I've already paid for and got the old box replaced for free after threatening to cancelled my package with Sky. I wasn't going to pay the £60 call out to replace the old box when I'm already paying £10pm for the multi-room in order to use it.
Sky really do try to squeeze us for every penny they can get.0
