I will be moving from o2 to t-mobile in the next few days, Im just waiting for my PAC code. I was wondering once I have received my PAC code will it be easier to call t-mobile or to go into one of their stores or does it not make any difference?
Thanks
Thanks

Has t-mobile told you their policy on using the PAC code?Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Do you mean on how it is only valid for 30 days.MarkAldridge0

PAC is always valid for 30 days, i was think more about how you are meant to use it.
With vodafone you have to do it at the point of sale.
With orange you do it online when the new sim card arrives. (Instructions in the box)
T-Mobile should give you instructions about how to use it.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I went on their site and all they said was:
Transferring your number is easy
Just follow these simple steps- First up, if you pay your bill monthly check whether you're still under contract with your current service provider. It's a good idea to check this out, because cancellation charges may still apply.
- If you haven't done so already, buy a new phone or get a FREE SIM from us.
- Get in touch with your old service provider and ask for a PAC code.
- Call us on 08454 123123 and give us your PAC code. Or call Customer Services on 150 from your handset.

Once you get the code from 02, going into branch will probably take longer as all they do is ring up customer services on your behalf.
Do step 4.Call us on 08454 123123 and give us your PAC code. Or call Customer Services on 150 from your handsetAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Give customer services a ring and they will be able to give you the information you need on your free package and pac info.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Hey everyone,
Just thought id let you know that o2 called me today with my PAC code which was good and I called t-mobile and am now in the process of getting the current number im using transferred over, I know it takes two working days from tomorrow and it should be done by wednesday and I was told that I would get a confirmation on both phones on the day but I wont be able to use my new phone fully until thursday, Which is not a problem.
Thanks for all your help MSE members.MarkAldridge0 -
Yeah it takes about 2-3 days, for me the transfer took just a few minutes. Text messages should arrive to the old then the new phone, and th old phone will then stop. Its advised to reboot both phones once the transfer is completed.
It is possible that on the day of the transfer text messages arrive at both of your phones as the operator systems get into sync.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
