Whats your DD for elecricity per month?

DD is £20 for elec, 2 bed terraced. Elec shower and loads of little red lights for things on standby. Heating and cooking is gas.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

DD for the electric is £60. 3 adults sharing a 4 bed end of terrace and 1 lodger's b/f comes to stay at weekends.
2 electric showers used for about 20 mins to 1/2 hour a day total
washing machine used on quick wash 30 degrees about 7 times a week
condensor tumble dryer used for about 4 to 6 hours a week
a PC and a netbook, router, v+ box, 2 fridges and a freezer on 24/7(PC's and netbook are not mine, as much as I would love them to be off when not in use!)
and even at this time of the year.........2 electric blankets as 2 lodgers get cold in bed:eek:
Just had quarterly bill and it is £15 in debit so I am happy.
Gas DD is £71 and we just had quarterly bill for march - may and we are £150 in debit, but we have not been cold. 30+ year old conventional boiler, heating on for about 6 hours a day.

My DD is £30 Electirc and £50 gas, just had our bill from over winter, and we are £10.00 in debit, but thats come from the gas side, we were atually in credit on the electric (3 bed semi, 2 adult and a baby, I am currently home all day on mat leave)Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

If you are in debit then you owe them money. or did you mean you are £180 in credit? if the latter yes you can phone up and ask for the money back, but they may try to increase your direct debit though.

All Monthly Direct Debit arrangements are currently going through their annual reviews.
Provided accounts have been billed up to date using actual meter readings, all credit balances of more than a fiver are automatically refunded. Payments are then re-set accordingly.
I would give us a call and tell us your readings. Ask for the account to be billed to these.
If there is still a credit balance, then your Direct Debit will have been set too high previously and will be adjusted to match your actual usage.
