Where is the best place to get new tyres for my car ?

Do you know what you are looking for when you inspect them? I have seen illegal tyres which at first glance look fine - loads of tread, nice and shiny, not perished etc... They just happen to have worn down below the limit in one small spot due to a fault on the car - not easy to spot if you dont know what you are looking for. Also, would you know what to look for on the INSIDE of the tyre? Even a small amount of 'bruising' on the inner sidewalls could lead to a blowout, yet it looks pretty innocuous to the untrained eye.
I wouldn't go for a part worn unless I was skint, and I know what things to look out for!

Try Hometyre, they fitted Maxxis to my Vauxhall, and they came to my home to do the work. Steer (excuse pun) clear of part worns, dangerous as you do not know how they have been treated / stored. I saw one that was sold to a mate, and when it came to fitting it, it split the side wall.0

Michelin, Continental, Dunlop, Bridgestone etc.
Please don't. You have absolutely no idea of their history. They could have been run flat which damages the re-enforcing bands in the tyre and that's unseen damage.0 -
Can some explain how energy saver tyres can increase your mpg? Are they just lighter or something?0

Check out ctyres . co . uk they're quite good, their cheapest fitted price on your tyres is £40.34 each for Nankangs, these are a budget brand of Yokohama.
Also e-tyres are very good and can fit wherever you are, so you could get it done whilst at work!

Forget buying online, ask a taxi driver where they get their tyre's from
I got Bridgestone Turanza ER300 in size 215 55 R16 for £94 each.
The same at the online retailers (checked all of them) was in excess of £125 each.
The same at the usual tyre/exhaust places was in excess of £160 each, their "budget tyre's" were more than £85 each.
So I got mine at a little place called "Jeffrie's Tyre's" in Bromsgrove.... 2 new tyre's at a relative bargain £94 a pop. Im also going back there in September for a full set of winter tyre's on my old steel wheels.
Oh and before anyone says anything, super cheap tyre's are a false economy.... And in certain circumstances actually dangerous. You can have all the fancy wheels, the suspension upgrades and whatever else... But at the end of the day, the only thing keeping your car stuck to the road is the tyre's.
Seeing cheap tyre's on a car I was looking to purchase would tell me the owner was a cheapskate and didn't look after it properly.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've just had to get 2 new fronts for my Celica (215/45/17) and I got them online at Camskill performance and tyres.
After much umming and ahhing, I went for Falken Ze192's which get a good writeup for year round grip and wear.
Total price delivered to my garage £117 - fitted for £15. Not too bad I thought.
I do have to say that the communication and speed of service was outstanding from Camskills - ordered late on tuesday, delivered this morning at 8am. Top marks all round.
