continental airline: seat allocation

We have booked with expedia to go new york with continental airline in june. i have noticed on line that the seats are already allocated.

Are we allowed to change this at the check in?

you can go online to continental and see your seats in the plan and change them,beware my wife and friends went with them and was squashed in,no leg room

I'm sure the answer is yes - but there might not be much choice left by then. Try and do it now if it's important to you.

You might have to do it through expedia. Who might try to fob you off.

I'm flying with Continental soon and although I booked directly with them, if you go on their website with your reservation/confirmation number, you can pick your own seats

Edit, I was suggest you do it early, I picked my domestic leg seats in April for travel in late July and most were already allocated
