Broadband (for Playstation) and line rental

Hi all, hope you can help.

We have had broadband via a dongle on Orange for a couple of years now which satisfied our requirements at the time as we would only be surfing via our laptop. Our contract has now ended and so we are looking around at new broadband deals.

My husband is really into his Playstation and wants to be able to use it online (the dongle wasn't fast enough and had a download limit). We have never had a landline as we just use our mobiles so we will also need to connect to a landline and pay line rental too now.

I've seen the Orange deal at £13/month but although I know we'll need a bigger download limit, I'm not sure exactly how much it'll need.

Can anyone help with:

- how much download limit / speed capability we will need?
- any better deals than Orange?
- other experiences?

I phoned BT and they are charging us £125 to reconnect our phone line. I thought this would only be chargeable when putting new lines etc in. All the equipment and everything is there as the previous occupants had a landline so I thought it would just be a nominal reactivation fee?
