O2 Broadband Premium

Hi,
I think I have decided on what way to go on broadband with the O2 Premium.
Just a few questions if anyone out there can help that would be appreciated.
Will the wireless box allow 3 pc's to be connected.
Can you wire any pc's to the wireless box? If so how many?
What do various people think of O2 Premium broadband?
Thank you for your help.

It's a standard wireless router supporting the 802.11b/g/n standards so yes you can connect multiple clients wirelessly and 4 wired (or more if you add a switch to the network).0

Just make sure you go via a cashback site - eg Quidco or TopCashBack - to blag an extra £50 £back (current level, was £0 for most of last week for first time for years!).
With o2 Premium the box is the o2 Box II which supports wireless upto the normal "g" rate (you only get "n" with the o2 Box III which is with the FAR more expensive o2 Pro that very few people are (a) close enuf to their exchange; (b) rich enough to want) and otherwise as kwikbreaks says - I've got a further 2 ethernet switches and about a dozen devices on my o2 Box.
Remember o2 Premium's MAIN bonus over o2 Standard is the removal of the 8Mbps modem synch cap - ie you need to be in the close/medium distance range to your exchange. BUT don't worry if you signup to Premium but your actual synch speed IS below the 8Mbps limit for the cheaper o2 Standard (ie for 'long' range like me) as o2 will let you downgrade immediately without any hassle.
See my various analyses (including making sure you save £15+ with an o2 PAYG SIM if necessary) at

The only BAD words you'll find about o2 Home Broadband are about "o2 Access" the resold BTwholesale product that was too cheap/overpromised ie "unlimited" and hence got congested & "traffic managed" & the FUP invoked, but in many reports/sites people do NOT make that clear. The o2 LLU subs - ie Std/Prem/Pro - are top of the league for subscriber satisfaction (with their "Be" branded sibling packages, but they are currently c£100 more over the 12month minimum contract commitment).

Providing they have a network interface, yes.RaiderHammer wrote: »Can you wire any pc's to the wireless box?
Up to 253 devices in it's standard configuration.RaiderHammer wrote: »If so how many?
A friend hits 700GB + per month, EVERY month and not even so much as a snotty letter.RaiderHammer wrote: »What do various people think of O2 Premium broadband?
The provided routers (Thomson) are severely castrated on the features front, but they do that to stop people screwing things up and then subsequently clogging up the helpline.
Note that it is only the "Wireless Box III" that supports the N standard for wi-fi, the "Wireless Box II" stops at the G standard.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0
