I watched the first few episodes thinking "this is great", then it turned into a naff soap opera.
Gave up on it waiting for something decent to happen, and that rubbish wooden actor in the lead role grated my bones with those awful facial expressions he keeps pulling for the camera.
Maybe too many people gave up on it like me.
Roll on another Dexter Series, or Warehouse 13, or Lie To Me....0 -
Are you thinking of Invasion? It's annoying when they drop a show, but US tv is very ruthless and they drop shows half way through a run if they don't get the ratings. I don't think they let shows build an audience any more.0

Invasion...that's it - thank you
And now I've just read that Heroes has been ditched only having heard the other day that the rumours of it going were false and they were on the verge of formally agreeing to a 5th season
Thank god I don't just do US sci-fi and am also a Corrie fan...they'll NEVER ditch that0 -
dont forget Jerico"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0

I watched it up to the last break for a while but I did start to go off it. I hate series that go off air then come back months later. I went off Lost for that reason plus it got stupid with the plots0

Hero's is also been axed I tried to get into that but got fed up in series 1
Not a big fan of US shows tbh

Sigh. They keep doing this! Maybe someone will launch a Jericho style campaign, mind you that only saved the show for one somewhat disappointing second season. I was mightily peeved when ABC cancelled Defying Gravity last year, and a couple of other shows that I had started watching. Personally I think they kind of killed FlashForward with the break for the Winter Olympics, they just lost too many viewers.0

That's a shame they aren't continuing it, Flash Forward is my guilty pleasure in the day when kid are at school and OH is at work. The acting was pretty carp in it, especially Jack Davenport's wooden, foppish, apologetic, Hugh Grant-esque character (can you tell he annoyed me. Lol) but Joseph Fiennes was good, as was Dimitri.
We've never been huge on American drama's but do like The Wire, Damages and we plod through Mad Men occasionally. The Soprano's was the best and I was gutted when that finished. I only watched the first series of Lost, maybe I shall try that one again.0 -
Yes, Yet a another good sc-fi series cancelled before it should be, they could have least made a 2hr final to wrap things up.0

The guys in charge of commissioning US serieses must have the attention span of a mayfly.
"Oh, this show has just begun one second ago... the ratings aren't high enough yet....cancelled."
The other thing that irritates me (ever since the heroes series 2 debacle) is how they stop for a mid season break and in many cases haven't written or filmed the other half yet. I read in an interview that the writer of heroes used fan feedback to change aspects of the second half of series 3. While that is nice in theory, it just leads to a watered down, committee created story.
When I'm watching something, I'd rather have the creator's vision rather than the creator's vision, with input from the ill informed masses. The creator knows where the story is going to go in the long run, while the kneejerk reactions of the viewers are thinking in terms of just one episode without giving it a chance to go somewhere.
This is why I only ever watch US shows on dvd after they finish...so I can make sure that i can finish watching what I start.0
