For years I have been switching from one company to the next, able to sign up to a 12 month contract with 9-12 months free line rental including 400-500 mins and 200-300 texts a month. This was working out as totally free or at the most £7-10 a month.
The time is almost upon me to switch again but suddenly I can only find 18/24 month contracts or expensive 12 month contracts. Some have free line rental but appauling amounts of minutes and texts - others are just very expensive even when you add in the extra cashback from something like topcashback.
My best option so far is to get a £15 sim only (and put up with my user unfriendly phone) deal with Vodaphone and get £75 cashback through Topcashback, working out at around £9 a month. For that I can usually get a free phone thrown in so can anyone tell me if they've seen a similar deal or can better this?
I tried speaking to my current company mymobiles/CP Warehouse and asked if they could better that and they didn't even try!

There are quite a few deals around. It isn't that difficult to find them but they're all on 12 or 24 month deals and the risks are somewhat higher.0

Yes, there's still deals to be had, for example a basic nokia can be had for £1 pm over two years here: http://www.e2save.com/mobile-phone/contract/nokia/Nokia-1661-Black.html?tariffcode=EH254JUL090
