That kitchen floor is dreadful. I'm out.
Well we decorated for ourselves rather than Joe Public. The flooring came from a local quarry.

Well, looking at the location of the house, it could be quite the business opportunity.

You could walk around with one under each arm...... in your new career as a pimp.:money:

Not so much call for that in Cardiff these days, not since the Eastern Europeans came over.

It's OK, Exocet. Apparently, when you're dead, and no longer need the house, you'll be loaded.

So that will be a great comfort to you, I'm sure.

Although I know your request for advice is a fiendishly clever way of making a point, a house isn't really any different from any other assetin this way is it? That is if you even see it as an 'asset', I have to say it never crosses my mind to think of mine in clinical terms like that.

But if you want to realise the profits of a share, fund, bond, bottle of wine, gold bar then you have to sell it. And you therefore don't own it anymore. I suppose you can part sell your holding of shares in a company, but you're still selling an asset.

    Excellent point.

You would think he wanted something for nothing ;)
He wants the money, but does not want to sell to realise that money

He wouldn't be loaded, it would be his beneficiaries.

Apparently, as a house owner I have made a fortune through my great intelligence and foresight to decide to buy many years ago. I would now like to get my hands on this pile of money and wondered what the best to go about it was. Please bear in mind I don't want to leave the house as it is my home, and I would have nowhere to live. I just want the money that my fantastic decision has made me.

I'm really not sure what to make of this post.

The opening post appeared at 5.51pm yesterday, then at 6.22pm - just 31 minutes later - we get the following post, announcing that the property is up for sale:

It's quite a while since I last sold a property but I can't believe anyone can arrange for a property to be advertised in the space of just half an hour.

Something is not quite right here.

    Indeed.

Nature has devised the perfect weath redistribution device, whereby 100% of the wealth in the world is redistributed to younger generations upon the inevitable death of the older generations.

What nature neglected to do was create a device that stops the younger generations from being ungrateful little sh1ts anyway.
