Realising My Asset

I don't get it as if my son inherited now (aged 23) it would be a disaster......maybe my fault as his parent? But it would just get wasted, blown, even if spent on property, he would use it a s a deposit rather than but something modest outright...he's also go off 'travellling'' (aka long holiday) for as long as could afford to....and I write this and realise I have turned into my mother...:rotfl::rotfl:
OH yes, I know that fear all too well,<<shiver>>

I will make an offer when I win the lottery.;)In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
I don't want to rent my own house!! That would be madness!!! No, I just want to 'take profits' as I believe they call it. Everyone else seems to have made a fortune, so I thought, as I was a little bit bored this evening, I thought why not take some profits and have a bit of a good time buying stuff.
But it's almost as if the extra money I have is an illusion.
Is this any different from the Gold and Silver bugs on here who buy their bars and coins but never want to sell them. Or people who buy shares in companies that don't pay dividends but also dont sell them when they make gain.
They're all just assets that are worth money, but are not money until you sell them. In this respect, your home is no different."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0
