I had a chinese boyfriend years ago who was a waiter in a very nice restaurant. I worked right across the road in a pub as a barmaid at the time - so my finishing time meant i could nip across the road and join the boyfriend and staff for supper! oh my gawd - my meal was served on a meat serving plate (it was huge) and was mostly noodles, chicken, beef, king prawns and everything else that had been taken out of freezer but not required! but it tasted amazing!! it was sort of a special chow mien! and the atmosphere around the table (they used the biggest table so we could all sit together) was brilliant! people swapping beef for prawns or helping someone to the massive bowl of rice in the middle of the table. it felt like family! I loved it. and have been a massive fan of chinese food ever since! I also learned the protocol for meals and using chopsticks - much easier than a fork with chinese food!0

One of the chinese takeaways we use has a meal deal for £8.00 that is fried rice at the bottom and then a portion of a meal on top (we get schezuan chicken) and then there is a layer of paper and two wontons, two barbecue spare ribs and two spring rolls. It all comes in a cardboard packet like you see in American films.
I think thats good value and we don't usually eat it all so some left for a snack for lunch for one of us or for DS when he comes in.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200
