Help !!!!
I made a sausage cassarole in the slow cooker the other week, and everyone said it was ok, (froze what i had left) but it had a stong tomato taste.
Is there anything i can use to reduce the taste of tomato. Would like to defost it and use for a meal later on in the week.
Any ideas !!!!!!

Stock cube would give it a more 'meaty' flavour, very small amount of sugar would reduce acidy taste from tomatoes, or you could add salt, pepper & basil for a more italiany (is that a word) feel, which would complement the tomatoes rather than toning them down. Or possibly stir in some natural yoghurt and some spices to make it into a creamier, spicy sauce. Or what about some cajun or bbq spices to make it into more of a smokey taste which would complement the sausages?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

what about flour? that might bined some of the juices therefore making it a bit thicker.

Potatoes are often recommended for surplus salt, so maybe they would absorb some of the tomato flavour as well“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
