not allow to apply for JSA

Probably not, Income Support is for single parents and people with disabilites.
Why are you not entittled to JSA? Have you tried to apply and been turned down?
  • stupid and unfair sanction(have appeal but havent heard anything back, been 7 weeks now). reject hardship as well(due to failing the labour condition) which i still have no idea what it meant.
  • 1 more question, if i signed off today, i wouldnt be exampt from my dental(filling) appointment on mon and the mon after that, right?

????? this sounds like you are asking if you have to pay for the dentist?

As for benefits. Do you have the right to work and claim benefits in the UK?

Would you be signing off today because you have a job to start?

You can't claim income support and JSA simutaneously, even if you satisfied the eligibility criteria. Although you are not receiving payment of JSA, you are still effectively "claiming".

Usually the reason for not getting paid JSA is because you havent paid enough national insurance contributions, my hubby came out of work, and because they look at the previous tax year, stated he hadnt paid ENOUGH national insruance, therefore they would continue to pay his STAMP but not give him anymoney! loada crap! x

When i read things like this it always makes me wonder is there any point in actually working at all? When we pay into the system for years and years when we really need the help where the ones who are always worse off.

Surely that's the whole point of contributions based benefits - if you haven't contributed then you don't get them? Missgem's husband hadn't been contributing so he didn't get the benefits - what's wrong with that?

Failing the labour market entitlement condition means that the AO has decided that you were not available for and actively seeking work, in which case the sanction is hardly "stupid and unfair".
