strawberry plants are goin brown and shrivling up

    I got some from homebase and planted them in a big pot .. they looked healthy and now they are floppy flat and pretty dead :(

    I've had strawberries survive a winter outside in a pot with no drainage, so I doubt it was overwatering. Especially in a hanging basket which are very hard to keep wet.

    I'd guess they've probably dried out. Try sitting the basket in some water for a few hours or overnight to properly resoak the basket.

    if growing them inbaskets the soil will need a good soak if you are watering till water pours out the soil its not necessarily getting a good soak more like wet straight through ..

    you could try moisture retaining granules to help , as poster anbove says sounds like too dry and give em a feed they should then be fine
