Back to uni in a month-- oh no

Options
Oh great only another month until back to uni. Back for another year of stress, upset and depression. I got an email from a lecturer today as I asked him a few questions about final year projects, saying can I write an outline of what I want to do. Excuse me, I am a bit lost with it and was asking for a bit of help, but no!!

I can not wonder when they help you like that that I feel hopeless about going back

Thanks for listening.

At my place we have been tols nothing of how to go about it or really what to do. It is really stupid how they just expect you know what to do.

Don't know what subject any of you are doing but if its anything to do with business studies, MBA etc, I found the following book really useful:

Business Research Projects (for students) by A. D. Jankowicz

The 3rd edition was published in 2000 - there might be a later one.

I know its another book  but you can dip into it and don't have to read it from end to end.

Good luck and keep at it - believe me, its worth it!

If it was a business project I think I might feel more up to it. The medical vs social model of disability ( whilst a great subject seems impossible just now).

You take Philosophy Phil? I used to think that'd be an easy course until I saw my friend's exam questions! It's impossible! One was -

If you meet a person in the future and that person is you, what is your relation to that person?

I was just thinking... well it's me innit? :rotfl:

She was expected to fill at least 5 A4 pages with an answer
Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde

the physics of meeting your self would be impossible and so this is a daft question, does that fill 5 sides? ;)
    I Don't like you!
  • I'm sure this is just a temporary feeling that will pass when you get back into your studies. It has been a very long break.
You must be doing well in your subject to have reached year 3 so don't doubt your ability.

To get a better understanding of your dissertation topic, have you thought about doing voluntary work with people with disabilities. This will give you a broader outlook, a wealth of information and a different perspective on your own problems.

If you want some useful reading material pm me.

Cheers, lets say I have always hated it from about 3 weeks into the first year. I have done okay I think I am a 2,2 at the moment, which to say these have been the two most unhappist years of my life is good.
I know I am way better with a degree than just a dip after 2 years and that is why I have stayed on. I am involved with disabled sport anf this is why I want to research on this, but if they do not let me do this topic then I will be very worried about the last year.
