Dropped Fuel Costs!

Heard yesterday on the news that fuel prices were expected to drop. What a nice surprise I got today when I drove past the local BP to see that their petrol was down by 6p a litre and Morrisons had dropped it by 5p a litre (still 2p a litre cheaper then BP here).:j
Absolutely delighted - now for the dilemma - do I fill up now or wait to see if it goes down a little more? Think I'd be better doing it now just incase they deside to bump it up again PDQ! :D

    6p?! Thats a big jump!

Prices have gone down around 2p for petrol and diesel around here to around 93p Petrol and 94/95p diesel...
  • Yip, maybe thats just bringing us back in line with other places then, Morrisons are 93.9p for petrol and 95.9p for diesel while BP are still 95.9 for petrol and 97.9 diesel - mind you, they are still paying for the new canopy and signs that were put up just a couple of months ago at both stations they own in the town.......grrr

It will never get to the 80p mark ever again. I very much doubt it will drop below 90p either.

Never thought that I'd be paying 93.9p per litre and acctually be happy about it.

Come to think of it, it's not that long ago that I was sulking because I had to use dreaded motorway services and it cost 91.9p.

A nice little trick I noticed in Tesco recently. While they had the '5p a litre off if you spend £50 in store' promotion, unleaded was on sale at 99.9p/litre. Now the promotion has ended, unleaded was on sale yesterday @ 95.9p/litre.

  • Anyone else noticed its gone down again? At each of our petrol stations its down another 4p per litre to 89.9 or 91.9 depending on which company you use! Am delighted! Fingers crossed its down to stay down and they are not leading us into a false sense of security so to speak before they rattle it up to over £1................

Our local Morrisons are down to 89.9 a litre today, and since I have a loyalty card I get an extra 1.5 pence off that:j
