Hi All,

My cousin is moving to spain for 6 months and wants to call the UK often. Are there any companies out there that let you call the UK (landlines and mobiles) out of x-net free minutes or are there any similar companies like simply-fone operatng there? pleae help. thnx.

Solid,
get your cousin to do it the other way. Get a Spanish PAYG sim, pop it into an unlocked phone. When they want to speak, send a text to the mobile of that person. They can then use simply fone to call back your cousin. Or use a UK landline to call after checking the call checker to see who is cheapest for calling Spanish mobiles. There will be no cost to your cousin for receiving the call on a Spanish sim.

Phone calls in Spain are still dear, particularly to mobiles and abroad, reason behind there are not such as big market. The main company is Telefonica and they do "Europa 15", that allows you to call any land line for 15 minutes everyday for approx 7 euros a months, also they do "Europa 15 mobile", this is basically the same but allows you to made the calls to mobile as you can imagine the cost is sustancially higher, so sorry but not sure of the cost at present. Hope this is of some help....
