If the phones been reported lost or stolen it's IMEI will have been blacklisted across all UK networks (the network requested the IMEI every time the phone connects, if it's on the blacklist the network refuses access).
If it is only the original owner can get it lifted.
With out being able to make a call or text it's hard to tell.
You could call Voda and ask, I guess, to get the IMEI just type *#06# and it'll come up on the screen.0 -
Hi there,
You mention that your SIM has no credit on it.
If the SIM is new, it will not work unless you have activated it by making a quick call and then hanging up.
Also, if it is a SIM which has not been used for a while by topping up and making a regular chargeable call, the SIM could have been disconnected for non use.
Have you tried the phone with a different SIM ? As you have an ex contract phone, it is probably unlocked, so any SIM any network should work.0
