i'm all for recycling, however with the pieced bag & jug does the milk stay as fresh for long?
asking because obviously current milk cartons have a screw top seal, do the jugs seal?

Got my jug last week and so went today to buy a replacement bag and they were all dated sell by 23rd May....thats no good so ended getting the usual plastic bottle
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

These short sell by dates are due to the fact that Sainsburys thought their would be a huge demand for milk bags for the following week,so a large ammount of bags were ordered at the same time..Should start seeing longer sell by dates after 26th,plus a lot of reduced milk bag prices[near sell by date] over the next couple

Due to the underwhelming demand last weekend all the milk bags were reduced to 20p in our Sainsbury's today so stocked up and put a few in the freezer.

I think that's why Waitrose abandoned a similar sort of product:

I think the reason that semi-skimmed is promoted is the removed part of the milk has a lot of value in itself.

I'm convinced full fat milk with 50% added water tastes better.
It is still fortunate that full fat milk sells at the same price rather than more.
