You could ask O2 to change your PAYG to a contract (but then you would miss out on all the online deals offering free phones and discounted line rental).
Or you could get a PAYG sim for another network and port your O2 PAYG number across using a PAC code. As soon as it is on that sim, get your new contract with O2 and port the number back across. This is what I did to stay with Tmobile....and then the window licker said to me...0
