Switching without double bills

Hi All

I'm thinking of changing my mobile phone provider from Orange to Tesco.

So when I called Orange, they said that they will send me a PAC code with no contract termination date.
I'm a bit confused why there is no termination date because this will be the start date for my Tesco contract.

I am matching the Orange termination date with the Tesco start date to avoid being double billed.

Orange are saying that I should give the PAC code to Tesco and everything should be fine but I can't undertand how I won't be double billed.

You need to give Orange 30 days notice (its in your T&C's).
When you use your pac Orange will send you a final bill.

There's no termination date as asking for a pac isn't a firm termination it's only an option to terminate. If you don't use the code the contract carries on (and the code only lasts 30 days btw).
