Linda - sorry only just seen this. The new hose worked brilliantly - but I aided the the corner issue by using this a multi directional hose guide that just spikes into the ground. Its not that kinks that I was worried about as I drag it through the poly tunnel it has a tendency to snag the plants in the beds and do some damage.

How did you get on at Homebase? I do love there extra money weekends.....lol

well in the end I bought a cheapie and it's done OK but I think I'll look around for a more robust professional one like yours - I'm hoping for a couple of end-off-season bargains (ever hopeful!).
