Even the most inept outfit, ie, qikcrap/crapfit can diagnose a dodgy battery, unless it is one of their own:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Listen to what folks here are telling you ;););)
    Good luck.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

well chaps and chappesses , i charged it last night for a good 45 minutes , disconnected the battery , reconnected this morning , and no luck , didnt start , without another jump start....
but i did hear the CD radio base unit (the face is off) going a bit haywire , but that doesnt help with the battery being flat first thing....

    Hello mate

Thing is when i jump it , its a gap of 2-3-hours till i use it again so i dont know if i let it sit there for 8 hours wethere it would start again or not as yet.....
the battery itself is wrapped up in a posh sort of cover , and appears clean and dry...but it does say GM on it so wondering if its the same batterie from manufacture (surley not?!)

All lights go out when i turn engine off...

I had an 8 year old fiesta with the original battery in it.

the problem is to do any diagnosis you need tools
if it were me i would put a multimeter across the battery and see what volts the alternator is pumping out under load
also check if there was any drain with everything off(to see if a drain has weakened the battery)
if the alternator is working then new battery
if the alternator isnt pumping out enough then check the alternator, connections etc
if the alternator is pumping out too much it could be a new alternator(or refurb) and a cooked battery

I used Halfords but that was because the AA man let me use his trade card (bad AA man bad :D;)) so got 40% or something off! Was brilliant.

Ring around your local suppliers, they will fit it and get rid of your old battery for you, don't buy the cheapest battery available, get a decent branded one.

Halfords? Listen to inactive, try looking up local motor factors and ask them what suits your need, they are usually pretty helpful.
