Write back stating you have receipts to prove items are not stolen, so no refund necessary.

If they open a dispute, they'll have to send it back recorded delivery anyway.

It's not upsetting, just some idiot pushing their luck.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Have you considered that what you are selling may be something they intend to sell and want your goods out of the way.

OR they tell you they want a refund and Ebay have told them to destroy the item.

I don't use Ebay but lurk on the forum(I'm nosey...) But I have seen several threads where an item is "counterfeit/stolen" and the buyer has been told to destroy it.

Of course they want their money and aren't allowed to send the "stolen" item back.

    Hope you get it sorted

ask them why they are worried that the goods may be stolen and advise them that if wanted you can provide evidence that you are the original owner.

It may just be that they are worried or have heard some of the many "ebay stories" that circulate about stolen or counterfeit goods and are concerned incase they have purchased some.

Find out why they think they're stolen, then try and resolve it first, a lot of people are just very easily over-paranoid.

They are trying to pull a fast one, they have neither said who has advised them, nor any confirmation of it, ebay wont even look at it, if they have posted this on your feedback, be sure to reply stating you have evidence of purchase and that as far as you can tell "it sounds as though your trying to scam me here".

Think about it, if you bought something that turned out to be stolen, you would include all the details involved that got you to discover it was stolen, your not likely to say "a little birdie told me".

If this is a private message, simply reply with the facts you have that can prove otherwise, as well as a warning that trying to scam ebay members may get them blacklisted, that you are more than happy to inform ebay of this attempt on his\her behalf.

They would have had to open a dispute for this to have happened and would have to prove its fake. So the OP would know as a dispute would be open

Silence is the best option and just see what they do. IUnless they have something concrete there is nothing the buyer could do to the OP as FB has already been left. If they left Follow up FB accusing the item of being stolen they could get it removed

Just saying that they may say Ebay said to destroy even if they had not even contacted Ebay, so no dispute would show.

Like I said I don't use Ebay so may be talking out of my posterior(not unknown...lol)

Same as others, I think he is testing the water to try to get his money back. It's called wanting to have your cake and eat it too.

Unfortunately there is a lot that puts me off selling on Ebay, how easy it is for unscrupulous buyers to get something for nothing is one of them.

I sold a professional mobile phone unlocking unit a little while ago and after the buyer got it i got a ranty email from the buyer saying it was a counterfeit item and what he was going to do about it. He got really aggressive and abusive.

I sent him a scanned copy of the original receipt, and the phone number and a contact name from the company i bought it off who would happily confirm its serial number was off a genuine item.

Needless to say he never bothered apologising or replying
