From what I know, PTT isn't supported by any of the UK providers. Maybe it has come from outside the UK. I would suggest trying to unlock the phone.
Should be able to get help on the unlocking forum.0 -
look in the phone settings for "push to Talk" or PTT and turn it offEx forum ambassador

i reset the factory settings on it and it stopped those messages coming up, its locked to virgin i put a new sim card in when trying to call it, it says it is not possible to connect you to this number
when i try the same sim in another phone its fine
tried unlocking but gave up after 3 attempts saying invalid code0 -
i thought PTT might be just a walkie talkie setting that didn't need the provider involoved, obviously not?thanks to everyone who has thanked me!0

PTT (Push To Talk) is a handset feature that will work like a walkie talkie, but does require network involvement. No UK network has addressed PTT yet, they might not bother!!
It seems to be turning up on Nokia's in particular... note these handsets are made for worldwide sales, and other countries might have PTT but not 3G, for example.
aji666 - do you mean unlocking so you can put any sim in? be careful, you get 5 attempts then it can only be unlocked professionally with a data cable.OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -

Are you sure the phone is not blocked?
If I remember correctly, if a phone is blocked (barred/stolen/reported lost, etc) on Virgin the phone will show a signal, however; if you try to ring the phone it will say whay you have written. Also if you try to ring out the phone will just beeb (three times if I remember correctly). If I remember correctly again, it will allow texts to be sent but not received when blocked.Welcome, rogerramjet.

Check the phone is not blacklisted. your customer services should be able to tell you.0
