Would you rather have the red pox?0 -

PR is not on the agenda. AV is not a form of PR, it's merely an adjustment of the 'first past the post' system which ensures that a party needs at least 50% of votes in order to win a given constituency. Instead of voting for one candidate alone, you have a first preference, a second, a third and so on.
So what happens if you don't want to choose any of the 2nd or 3rd candidates??If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
By any objective standard, Clegg flunked this election - his party coming a poor third.
He has no place occupying the No. 2 slot, having been overwhelmingly rejected by the voters.
Maybe, but only with their seats can a stable government be formed.
As someone who voted Con I have no problem him being deputy, we needed them for stability.0 -

Then you would only put a first preference. Should this first preference be eliminated for having the lowest number of votes, your vote is discarded as you haven't chosen a second preference for it to pass to.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
